ILA – The Israeli Information Technology Association, is the umbrella organization of all the professionals, users and managers who are involved in, or have an interest in, Information and Communications Technology in the State of Israel.
The mission of the organization is to advance the use of computer systems in the State of Israel, and to exchange knowledge and experience amongst the members as well as to represent the Industry to Government bodies and participate in the various parliamentary committees that deal with the implications of using IT in civil management, education, science and society.
The Association’s two distinct missions are:
1. How to close the digital gap in Israeli Society
2. How to maintain the superiority of the State of Israel in science and technology.
In order to achieve these two missions, the association is organized into forums of specialist organizations:
Ø The Israeli Association for Educational Computerization ( IAEC )
Ø The Israeli Association for Medical Informatics
Ø The Israeli Internet Association (ISOC)
Ø The Israeli Association for Management and Operations (IAMO)
Besides these organizations, ILA runs working groups covering a wide range of subjects that are of interest to its members:
Quality of Service and Software
Customer Relations Management (CRM)
Each of the organizations holds its own annual congress in which each endeavors to summarize their activities over the past year, and sets the challenges for the future.
Each year ILA holds it annual convention, which deals with concrete technological challenges, as well as with the influence of technology on various aspects of our daily lives.
